This is a stone with Malachite and Lapis Lazuli combined to create this stunning gemstone. This stone is a strikingly beautiful shade of vivid blue Lapis with bright green Malachite.
The stone has been polished for a high sheen and framed by a special design sterling bezel. The bezel is a step-design pattern with a slight serration to its edge. The bezel was cut, edges filed, and the ends soldered together for a perfect fit around the stone. The bezel was polished to a polished finish. The back of the pendant is open for full viewing of this lovely stone. The inside of the bezel is secured with a strong two-part epoxy glue to hold the stone in place. A sterling jump ring is soldered to the top of this bezel for accommodating a sterling textured bail.
To complement the this beautiful stone, a sterling 4mm round bead with dots of Swarovski crystals is added to the top of the stone and wire wrapped with sterling wire. This really adds elegance and charm to this colorful stone.
A pretty 18 inch snake chain 2mm thick is used to suspend this gorgeous pendant.
Both malachite and lapis lazuli have beautiful colors and when they form together the results can be stunning. Many crystals form alongside others but one of the most attractive crystal combinations are lapis lazuli and malachite. Lapis lazuli is a deep vivid blue stone while malachite is a lovely vibrant green. Both lapis lazuli and malachite have been prized for thousands of years and used as important decorative stones in carvings and jewelry. Malachite is associated with goddesses, healing and transformation, while lapis lazuli is believed to bring wisdom and strength.
